The #1 thing top performers do that you’re probably skipping

This one habit fuels both your brain and your business

We’ve been taught to glorify the grind
But science (and burnout) says otherwise

The most successful CEOs, athletes, and creatives don’t just push through, they strategically rest.

In fact, a landmark study from the University of Illinois showed that taking short breaks every 50–90 minutes can dramatically improve focus and productivity. This “vigilance decrement” proves your brain starts tuning out when it doesn’t reset.

But it’s not just about breaks.
✅ Sleep is your #1 productivity tool.
✅ Recovery days improve physical performance.
✅ Mental rest fuels creative insight.

Here’s the formula that changed the game for so many of my clients:
Stress + Rest = Growth
Whether it’s in the boardroom or the weight room—rest is when the real transformation happens.

Mini Challenge:
This week, schedule one intentional rest break per day.
No phone. No guilt. Just 10–20 minutes to reset your nervous system.
You'll be shocked at how much more you get done.

🧠 Your brain will thank you
💼 Your business will benefit
💪 Your health will thrive

Tee’s "Calm & Recover" Night Bowl

A.K.A: The anti-burnout bedtime snack
When you’re stressed, sleep suffers. When sleep suffers, recovery tanks.
This bowl? It’s like edible self-care.

📝 Ingredients:

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt)

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • ¼ sliced banana

  • A sprinkle of cinnamon

  • Optional: a few walnuts or dark chocolate shavings

Why it works:

  • Protein + healthy fats = blood sugar stays steady overnight

  • Magnesium (chia + almond butter) = muscle & nervous system recovery

  • Tryptophan from yogurt + banana = natural melatonin boost

Have it About 60–90 mins before bed, especially on those days where your brain won’t shut up and your body’s running on fumes.
