🎃 Halloween Health Edition

Treats Without the Tricks

Hey friends

Halloween is here, and so are the candy bowls, caramel lattes, and late-night scares. 👻

But before you go “all in” or “all out,” here’s the truth: you can enjoy the season without feeling sluggish or guilty. It’s not about restriction, it’s about intention.

Here’s how to keep your energy (and mood) steady while still having fun:

🍬 1. Pair your sweets with protein.

A little balance goes a long way. Candy on its own spikes blood sugar and drains energy. Pair it with protein, like almonds, Greek yogurt, or a boiled egg, and your body will thank you.

💧 2. Hydrate before you celebrate.

Even mild dehydration can make you crave more sugar and caffeine. Aim for half your body weight in ounces daily, and toss in electrolytes if you’ve been moving a lot.

🌙 3. Protect your sleep.

Late-night sugar and scary movies raise cortisol and keep your brain wired. Create a chill bedtime ritual, stretch, dim the lights, and power down screens an hour before bed.

🚶‍♀️ 4. Move the next morning.

A short walk after meals (or first thing the next day) helps stabilize blood sugar, support digestion, and clear brain fog. Your body doesn’t need punishment, it needs movement.

💬 5. Let go of guilt.

Enjoy the candy. Laugh. Have fun. Then get back to your normal rhythm. That’s balance.

Coach Tee’s Tip:

“You don’t have to earn your food or burn it off later. Just fuel your body, have fun, and move forward, that’s real self-care.”

Final thought: Halloween’s meant to be fun, not stressful. So if you’re dressing up this year… send me your pic! 😄 I love seeing everyone’s costumes.

Stay healthy, stay spooky, and enjoy the moment. 🍫✨
